PF PRINTING INKS www.images-magazine.com 78 images NOVEMBER 2019 Epson: SureColorSC-F9400H Fluorescent Inks Epson’s new SureColor SC-F9400H dye sublimation printer offers decorators the option of printing with two new fluorescent ink solutions – yellow and pink – so they can add vivid colours to their production of fashion garments, workwear and sportswear. The 64” printer has been developed primarily for fast, high-volume printing of clothing, textiles and soft signage, as well as other printed merchandise. “The SC-F9400H is an evolution of the Epson SC-F9300,” says Epson, “and, in addition to the new genuine fluorescent Inks, it provides enhanced quality with even greater productivity and reliability.” The new fluorescent inks are part of Epson’s UltraChrome DS stable, which already includes cyan, yellow, magenta and high-density black. “This is a first for Epson, and we believe that we’ve made fluorescent inks that are superior in terms of brightness and colour density,” adds the company. www.epson.co.uk Kornit Digital: NeoPigment Robusto Ink The NeoPigment Robusto ink set perfectly complements the Kornit Presto and the Kornit Allegro, enabling high- quality prints and long-lasting results, says Kornit. With the Kornit Presto, the NeoPigment Robusto ink offers a single-step solution that is said to be completely sustainable and completely dry, promising zero water waste and zero water pollution. The ink is designed to last, promising a better wash and rub durability that makes it suitable for babywear, DIY and fashion garments, as well as a high UV fastness for extended outdoor exposure that may be ideal for home décor applications. “Enjoy an increased colour gamut, volume and spot colour coverage too,” adds Kornit. The NeoPigment Robusto is said to offer low- maintenance ink with advanced jetting stability behaviour, which maximises system uptime and improves productivity. Kornit said: “Its enhanced curing mechanism also provides physical and chemical bonding in a very short time, producing a finished product within minutes.” No additional technical or chemical procedures are needed with NeoPigment Robusto, pre- or post-treatment, and Kornit promises a reduced carbon footprint per printed square in production.
