For the Polyprint Texjet DTG printers, the Dupont Artistri ink is available in both sealed cartidges and a bulk feed system. “The Dupont ink gives vibrant colours, and has excellent washability,” says Amaya. Polyprint’s Power ink in CMYK is also available, promising a faster curing time and excellent washfastness, as well as a full range of pre-treatment for both cotton and polyester fabric. Also available from Amaya is the Eco Rapid Neo Pigment ink. The company says this is the latest and most advanced industrial DTG ink-set that is designed to fit perfectly with the Kornit HD printer technology, and offers “white opacity, an increased colour gamut and exceptional spot colour coverage with colour matching”. Roland TrueVis ink is also available from the distributor, and is said to offer the next evolution of eco-solvent ink technology designed especially for the brand’s TrueVis print-and- cut equipment. “It meets customer demands for wide colour gamut and strict environmental standards, gives brilliant colour in CMYK and is very cost effective,” adds Amaya. www.amayauk.com International Coatings: FlexCure Inks International Coatings (IC) recently expanded its portfolio of plastisol inks to include FlexCure products, which offer “innovative inks with a flexible curing range, from a low 135°C to a standard 163°C”. “The rise in popularity of synthetic, polyester and performance fabrics has challenged printers in a couple of ways,” explains IC. “Many synthetic fabrics contain temperature-reactive dyes that gas off and migrate well below the typical cure temperature of plastisol inks of 160°C. “Many synthetic fabrics also shrink or melt when cured at standard curing temperatures. Lower curing temperatures mitigate these dye migration and heat- sensitivity issues.” Rather than create a separate line of low-cure inks, the company said it has expanded the curing range of many of its existing inks to give printers the option to select the cure temperatures that works best for them. “A flexible cure range eliminates the need to stock separate lines of ink for low-cure and standard-cure production runs, a bonus to the bottom line,” adds IC. It is said that printers can use FlexCure inks to cure at temperatures as low as 135°C when needed, and for other jobs calling for regular cure temperatures. FlexCure inks have been tested and verified by the company, and are said to be compatible with its existing plastisol inks, including special effects inks. www.iccink.com Dupont Artistri CMYK inks are available in both sealed cartridges and a bulk feed system AJS Embroidery Services: Innobella Textiles Water-Based Pigment Ink The latest Innobella Textiles water-based pigment ink for the Brother GTX garment printer offers an intense colour gamut, says AJS Embroidery Services, which gives prints “an extra vivid look on the CMYK side and a deep solid white on the white ink side”. The ink-matched Brother pre-treatment is also said to give an enhanced, more even coverage, enabling the white base and colours to become much deeper in appearance. “This, coupled with the benefit of the highly refined Innobella inks, means that print heads and print lines are much cleaner for longer,” adds AJS, “which therefore reduces the maintenance to an absolute minimum, whilst keeping the print quality at an optimum from the start to finish of each run.” All inks used with the Brother GTX are CPSIA-certified, and have the Okeo-Tex Eco Passport. To maximise the enhanced colour gamut, AJS also suggests using Cadlink Digital Factory Software, which extends the colour processing and is said to give users an end result of ”incomparable reliability”, both in print quality and garment-to-print endurance. www.ajs-embroidery.co.uk The latest Innobella Textiles water-based pigment ink promises an intense colour gamut FlexCure inks from International Coatings promise a flexible curing range
