Designed for use with AWT‘s Power- King and other pressure-washing systems, Kleen-View units are said to be ideal for degreasing mesh, removing inks and reclaiming screens for reuse. The translucent fibreglass back panel works with any light source to backlight screens, showing pinholes, unexposed emulsion or residue. The extra-deep trough reduces splashback and the unit has a built-in exhaust outlet. “Heavy-duty, stainless steel construction ensures years of reliable, rust-free service,“ says AWT. “Kleen- View units assemble and disassemble easily for mobility and convenience.“ Also from AWT are Pro-Light screen exposing units with LED light sources. “The latest LED technology makes these screen exposing units economical and efficient to operate, delivering accurate, professional results and production consistency for any screen printing operation,“ explains the company. “LED lamps mean quicker exposure times and longer light-source life expectancy.“ The Pro-Light units are ideal for four-colour process work, long runs and extremely fine detail reproduction, reports AWT, which adds that the units offer quicker exposure times depending on the type of emulsion, coating thickness or film being used. “Undercutting is minimised in most applications,“ says AWT. “The digital timer ensures precise exposure intervals, virtually eliminating under- or over- exposure of your screens.“ Other features include a flexible rubber vacuum blanket, which maintains complete contact between film positive and mesh to prevent distortion, and matched exposure technology, which is said to accurately harden different emulsions. www.awt-gpi.com The Kleen-ViewWashout Sink a n d Stand is available from A W T Screen Print World: I-Image ST CTS Imaging System M&R‘s I-Image ST Computer-to-Screen (CTS) Imaging System uses specially-formulated water-based UV-blocking ink and high-resolution computer-to-screen inkjet printer technology to quickly generate opaque images on emulsion-coated screens. “CTS images are superior to traditional film positives, delivering greater detail and smoother halftone transitions,“ explains Screen Print World. “There‘s no need for vacuum hold-down during the screen exposure process. This, coupled with the fact that light doesn‘t have to penetrate layers of film and glass, can reduce exposure time up to half. CTS systems also benefit screen printers by eliminating the need for costly film positives, as well as the space and labour required to store and create screens. Because the image information is digital, it‘s easy to store and quick to retrieve. And I-Image ST CTS imaging machines are electrically operated so there is no need to locate them near pneumatic lines.“ According to Screen Print World, because the I-Image reduces the screen-processing steps, minimises screen handling and produces greater image accuracy, it says the system is able to deliver “fast, accurate and cost-effective screen imaging“. The company concludes: “Ruggedly designed, affordably priced, and backed by the world‘s largest network of service and support, the I-Image ST Computer-to-Screen Imaging System is the ideal addition to any screen-printing operation.“ www.screenprintworld.co.uk The i-Image ST CTS Imaging System from Screen Print World
