The company says its PVC- and formaldehyde-free inks and pastes allow printers and brands, such as Nike, Under Armour and Adidas, to benefit from “fantastic detail, ultra-high opacity, brilliant whites and superb wet-on- wet printing systems”. The MagnaPrint product offering ranges from high solids such as AquaFlex V2, with excellent elasticity and a soft flexible feel, to soft bases like ND Extra for bright prints on light-coloured fabrics. Other ink bases include the formaldehyde-free Discharge ULF for intense colours and the new Edge range, a water- based ink that stays wet on screen but dries instantly on fabric, requiring fewer flash units than before. The MagnaColours range also incorporates a wide number of ready-to-use, special effects inks, from the metallic Bling to two-tone MultiChromes, a selection of reflective and tactile high density pastes. www.magnacolours.com Sawgrass: SubliJet-HD Ink Sawgrass has more than 25 years of experience of developing and testing sublimation inks. The SubliJet-HD Pro Photo ink has been formulated to work with the VJ 628 printer: “Together, they deliver prints that have the subtle skin tones, neutral blacks and fine gradients high- end photographers and art printers need to command premium prices.” Sawgrass says the advantages of the SubliJet-HD products includes higher definition images than ever before, with up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi with four-colour desktop systems and up to 1,440 x 1,440 dpi with 25” eight-colour systems. Included in the range is Classic rayon, which is available in a variety of different weights and over 400 colours. “Designers and embroiderers love the flexibility of viscose; its high tensile strength guarantees trouble-free production with less downtime due to fewer thread breaks,” advises Madeira. Polyneon polyester has extremeness fastness to chlorine, making it an ideal choice for frequently laundered garments and workwear. It is available in different weights, including superfine 75 for clarity in text less than 3mm, intricate details and sequin attachment. “These two ranges are complemented by beautiful metallics, wool mix and lightfast matt-effect threads that are not only visually inspiring, but also reliable and cost-effective, ensuring high machine running speeds,” adds the brand.
