Dae Ha UK: Lotus heat presses With over 40 years of experience, family-run Lotus Press produces heat presses that are used worldwide for heat transfer printing, sublimation printing, thermal fixation and the application of electronic components. The transfer presses are produced by hand to ensure the best possible production quality and to respond flexibly to specific customer requirements, reports Lotus distributor, Dae Ha UK. They feature unique Mikanit heating technology, which uses individual heating rods to offer short heating times, a uniform and optimal temperature distribution and a long service life. Dae Ha UK adds that the Lotus presses have a modern, ergonomic design to ensure clear, low-effort, fast, fatigue-proof and safe working. This includes the use of smooth-running pivoting mechanisms, balanced hand lever loads, replacement of all pressure plates with simple hand turning screws (no tools are required), quick-release devices for replacing the heating plates for cap sets, and clear displays. The central support pillar of many presses also allows for easy threading of garments from any direction, or you can use the swap plate feature – for kids’ T-shirts for example – to make your printing process even faster, explains the distributor. Other features include 1cm thick aluminium lower printing plates, silicone rubber mats, integral Teflon sheets and Nomex covers. This includes clam and swing presses, pocket and cap presses, pneumatic presses and large-format presses, with selected systems featuring ChromaLuxe-approved certification. Also available from the supplier is the Sefa tunnel dryer, which is specifically designed to cure inks from DTG prints, and capable of coping with output from multiple Epson F2100 DTG printers in simultaneous operation, reports Xpres. The Sefa dryer is said to cure up to 50 T-shirts per hour, and features an adjustable belt speed and airflow controls for fully customisable production. Xpres also offers calendar units from Diferro, ThermTX and the Texpres, which are each designed for the application of wide-format sublimation textiles. www.xpres.co.uk Xpres offers a variety of heat presses to cater for a range of applications Secabo: The Beast The new TS7 Smart is the first heat press by Secabo to be made in Germany. “In combination with a new type of membrane heating plate and a heated bottom plate, it mutates into the complete product (‘The Beast’) and opens up previously impossible high-end applications,” says Secabo. The swing-away heat press TS7 Smart can process large prints with a working surface of 40x50 cm, and handle transfer objects up to 7cm in height.
