Job description: Squeegee spends her days at PTTP HQ looking out the window so she can alert us of visitors to the studio and be the first to greet them with tail wags and licks. She also likes to monitor the entrance to the park across the road, which she can see from the window, and is very vigilant about time-keeping, especially around lunch time/ fetch-in-the-park time and home time/dinner time. When not doing that she likes to nap in various spots about the studio. Special skills: Playing fetch like a demon and finding absolutely any water source to swim in. Favourite colour: Pantone 4006 (brown) – the same colour as the water in her favourite river to swim in. www.printtothepeople.com Forget the screens, it’s time to go for a swim in the river Dae Ha UK introduces new Ultra Reflective films Dae Ha UK announced the launch of its new reflective garment films in May. The Ultra Reflective range is available in 14 colours, including seven neons as well as the eye-catching ultra- reflective rainbow film. The company said the highly reflective films can be used for both fashion and workwear, and notes that it is “incredibly easy to cut and weed fine detail”. The PET release film has an adhesive backing for intricate designs, and can be tumble-dried on a low setting and ironed inside out. It’s suitable for use on cotton, polyester and polycotton fabrics, as well as on polyester/acrylic blends or similar textiles. imagesmag.uk/Ultra Chancellor extends furlough scheme Rishi Sunak has announced that the government’s furlough scheme has been extended up to the end of October. The Chancellor confirmed on 12 May that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) will continue for an additional four months, allowing employees temporarily not working because of the pandemic to continue to receive up to 80% of their monthly wage, with a maximum of £2,500 per month. The scheme will continue in its current form until the end of July, after which changes will come in to allow more flexibility. imagesmag.uk/Furlough The new Ultra Reflective film from Dae Ha UK * This was written before the UK lockdown was implemented. VinoSangre relocates to larger premises Norwich-based screen printing company VinoSangre has announced its relocation to a new, larger premises just two miles from its previous unit. Owner Mikee Parker said: “We moved the business from Cornwall back to Norwich three years ago, and moved into a small commercial unit. In that time we have completely outgrown that unit, so when the lease came to an end we decided it was a good opportunity to move somewhere bigger.” The new unit is 1,400sqft, twice the size of the old place, and includes a mezzanine office. “The move was actually fairly stress-free. Luckily, we moved the day before lockdown started so we were able to get everything moved and set up just in time!” Since the move, VinoSangre has upgraded its exposure unit to an M&R NuArc MSP 3140, as well as purchasing a second Vastex drying cabinet. imagesmag.uk/vinosangre VinoSangre’s new print shop in Norwich
