INDUSTRY NEWS www.images-magazine.com 06 images JUNE 2020 Brother launches new GTXpro Bulk DTG printer Three years after launching the Brother GTX, Brother DTG has unveiled its latest direct-to-garment printer – the new GTXpro Bulk. Available in the UK from 1 June 2020, the new, compact machine is said to “combine the advantages of the GTX with an innovative bulk ink system, together with a new, improved print head and a whole range of features”. The company added: “The result is a space-saving and reasonably priced, industrial, direct-to-garment printer for mass production without sacrificing the well-known advantages of the GTX.” The new, cost-saving bulk ink system is said to be ideal for large production quantities, with Brother Innobella Textile Ink available in 2kg and 20kg containers. The newly developed industrial white print head, which uses more nozzles than in previous models, offers inside-ink- circulation, resulting in a reduction in white ink waste. Plus, by choosing the ‘fast mode’ in the print settings, users can print up to 10% faster than with the GTX. Maintenance time is also reduced as there is no longer any need for the morning preparation process. The new cap design leads to 40% less purging time, reports the company, and the larger colour sub-tanks are refilled during the printing process. There is also a ‘print reservation’ function for higher productivity. New sensor technology has been incorporated into the design, with a sensor detecting any textile that touches the print head. It also detects if the platen is too low so as to reduce ink mist and maintain a high-quality print (this ‘low sensor’ function can be disabled if required). “Thanks to our more than 15 years of experience in the direct- to-garment business and through intensive discussions with customers and experts, we have succeeded in developing a mass production machine that meets all market requirements,” stated Brother DTG. imagesmag.uk/GTXpro The new Brother GTXpro Bulk DTG printer promises higher speed printing, less wasted ink and reduced maintenance Result launches new PPE range in response to the Covid-19 pandemic Result has launched its new Essential Hygiene range, which comprises what the company has identified as the most relevant protection products needed across all industries in response to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. The new range includes vinyl gloves (RV006X), disinfectant wipes (RV003X), face splash shields (RV008X), three- ply medical masks (RV004X), four-ply respirator masks (RV001X), medical splash goggles (RV005X), antibacterial hand sanitiser (RV002X) and natural yarn antibacterial face masks (RV009X). “Masks have naturally been the most sought-after product and now, with the UK government’s cautious stance that civilian masks may be helpful, Result is bringing not just a fabric version to market, but a washable, natural yarn version which incorporates an antibacterial zone over the mouth and nose,” explained the company. Initial stock colours are all white and all black, with the possibility of other colours being added to the range at a later date. The company, which has continued to send out orders direct during the pandemic on behalf of its distributors whose warehouses may have had to temporarily close, says its PPE products are available now from IS Enterprises, Ralawise and PenCarrie. imagesmag.uk/Result Natural yarn antibacterial face masks are available now in the new Essential Hygiene range from Result Follow the links to the full stories online: www.images-magazine.com
