Each issue, one reader tells us why they rate a particular garment This month, Louis Georgiou, print manager at Essential Embroidery Designs, selects the Stanley/Stella Creator T-shirt (STTU755) as his favourite product. Made from 180gsm, 100% organic, ringspun, combed cotton and available in a wide array of colours, it’s a popular choice in this column. “I like it because it is a great T-shirt to work with,” he explains. “We get the best quality prints using it. The weave is tight, which means that you don’t really get any fibrillation, leaving a silky smooth final print. Plus, it is made from organic cotton and has great eco credentials.” Using MagnaColours water-based ink complements the environmentally friendly aspects of this T-shirt style, Louis notes. “Most of our work is in the corporate market, and large corporates love this tee because of its eco credentials and sound supply chain, not to mention being a great fashion fit,” he adds. Louis advises using a roller screen after printing a base on dark versions of this T-shirt to get a super-smooth final print. www.eed-uk.com Louis with the Stanley/ Stella Creator T-shirt printed with MagnaColours water-based inks Roland Academy’s webinar series includes theory- based content, design tips and software walkthroughs UK government launches Bounce Back Loans for small businesses The UK government launched its Bounce Back loan scheme on 4 May to help small businesses make it through the coronavirus outbreak.
