The Stitch S series, which was launched in April and is distributed in the UK by R A Smart, includes the HP Stitch S300 and HP Stitch S500 64” models, as well as the larger HP Stitch S1000 126” option. Phil Oakley, regional business manager, large-format printing at HP, commented: “The HP Stitch S series is a portfolio of digital textile printers that deliver precise colour- matching, designed to boost growth via décor and apparel applications, as well as enabling on-demand production and personalisation. “Stitch represents HP’s entry into the dye-sublimation textile market, delivering the world’s fastest colour- match capabilities.” Other newly announced exhibitors include Grafityp and Merlin Transfers. Available as shoes or boots, the Onyx is a modern-looking, EN-accredited style with a seamless upper and Cordura reinforcements with a poured polyurethane midsole, a breathable footbed and strong rubber outsole for maximum grip on slippery and uneven surfaces. It also includes a fibreglass toecap and penetration board, along with the BOA Closure System, which distributes the pressure of the fastened shoe evenly across the feet. www.solidgearfootwear.com Study reveals nearly three-quarters of retailers have made sustainability changes A sustainability survey of retailers by Pure London, Spring and Autumn Fairs has revealed that 73% have already made sustainability changes to their operations, with fashion retailers hoping to increase the percentage of their products that are sustainable by 40% on average by the end of 2020, a seven percent increase on the wider retail industry. In the survey of 1,896 retailers, respondents estimated that to make their products sustainable they would have to increase retail prices by 19% on average. In contrast, they estimate consumers would only be willing to pay 9% more for those sustainable products.
