The YPP Group, which includes the brands Your Print Partner, Custom Gifts, Your Promo Partner, Santa Sacks and Event T’s, has been operating the machine for three months and has already produced over 40,000 linear metres of prints. This includes the production of personalised home décor products, such as cushions, towels and bedding, for leading organisations that include Disney, Warner Brothers and Premier League football clubs. Stuart Maclaren, managing director of YPP, first saw the DGI HSFTIII at its UK launch at the 2019 Sign & Digital show in April, and said he was impressed by the sheer speed of the machine that didn’t compromise on quality. Stuart said this played a large part in the company’s decision to purchase the machine. “Printing at 240 sq/m of fabric per hour, it’s the fastest on the market for what we need. And in terms of quality and price point, when you add up machine costs and ink, it’s extremely cost-effective.” www.yppgroup.co.uk Tropical prints and abstract patterns will dominate in 2020 The fashion trends for 2020 were on display at Jacket Required, the contemporary menswear and streetwear trade exhibition which took place in London over the summer. “The season looks bright for SS20 with bold colour combinations, neons, vibrant tropical prints and abstract patterns,” said the organisers. “Crossing gender boundaries, millennial pink, neo mint and whitened yellows sit with ever popular brights and acid neons. Menswear prints and patterns for the SS20 season are anything but subtle, from Hawaiian florals to tie-dye and geometric digital designs, as well as tribal motifs and modern streetwear patterns. Athleisure and streetwear continue in the popularity stakes while tailoring and menswear shapes are becoming less defined, looser and slouchy for SS20.” www.jacket-required.com 46.1K tweet impressions July 2019 @imagesmaguk Sabur has installed a DGI HSFTIII high-speed sublimation printer at YPP Group Roland showcases VersaUV LEF technology at UV printing bootcamp Roland DG’s UV Printing Bootcamp, held at its Creative Centre in Clevedon, gave guests the opportunity to explore VersaUV LEF technology in July. The interactive event showcased the VersaUV LEF-12i, LEF2-200 and LEF-300 benchtop UV printers, which are designed to add colour, special effects and textures to “practically anything”, says Roland, “even flexible materials or oddly shaped objects”. Roland’s ‘Digital Benchtop UV Printing’ guide is available to download now, and Joe Wigzell, manager of the Roland Academy and Creative Centre, also hosts regular webinars that explore the full gamut of VersaUV systems and their applications. Personalised demonstrations at the company’s Creative Centre can be booked online. www.rolanddg.co.uk Guests explored the versatility of VersaUV LEF technology at the bootcamp Tie-dye will continue to be popular in 2020, reports Jacket Required
