She also entertains clients while they wait Special skills: Jumping over bushes in the parking lot and bending in silly shapes while sleeping Favourite colour: 485C - bright red – like PrintCity, and her favourite toys! www.printcity.be Stella’s name was inspired by Stanley/Stella Summa L3214 laser cutter wins SGIA Product of the Year award Summa has announced that its new L3214 laser cutter received the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) 2019 Product of the Year award in the ‘Lasers/ Routers/Cutters’ category. The laser cutter, which is 3.2m wide, is said to be ideal for applications in soft signage, home decoration, sportswear and fashion. The company said the awards panel acknowledged the “added value it delivers to the customers’ workflow, making it possible to speed up, meet their customers’ deadlines and improve margins”. Wim Maes, Summa’s executive director, said: “It’s a great honour to have received the SGIA Product of the Year Award for our L3214 laser cutter. This large format cutting solution entails just as much game- changing potential for companies in soft signage applications and other fabrics as for interior decorations.” www.summa.eu Prism Inks and Graphics One launch dye sublimation ink for cotton Prism Inks and Graphics One have introduced a new dye sublimation ink for cotton at Printing United in Dallas, Texas. Amir Ajanee, CEO and president of Prism Inks and Graphics One, said: “Over the past twenty-two months we have been working to develop an innovative process for imaging dye sublimation ink to cotton and have succeeded. The process uses standard dye sublimation paper, is simple to use and is usable with virtually all Epson piezo printers, including MicroTFP print heads.” Amir added: “We are expecting Go FabriMate applications to be wide- ranging and far beyond apparel to include automotive, interior decoration, furniture, soft signage, medical uniforms and much more.
