This practical, s ty lish top is a long-slee v e version of the brand’s already popular Ladies’ Pleat Fron t Short Sleeve Blouse (H597). The idea fo r the short-sleeve top c ame about when the team realised ther e wa s a need for a mo r e feminine style as an alternative to i t s we ll-established shi r t range, resulting in a blouse made fro m a s oft fabric that inc o rporates pleat details. Laura Taylor, H e nbu ry’s brand manag e r, reports that after the success of t h e sh ort-sleeve style, customers welcomed the idea of a lon g er s leeve version to e nhance the collection. The new long-s l eeve blouse is made f r om a 115gsm, 100% polyester, perm a nen t-wicking fabric, w hich Laura says is a fabric the team alr eady works with a nd knows how well it performs. “Th e fab ric not only drap e s beautifully for this feminine style, b ut h as many additional properties that are desirable for the wo rking environme n t. The fabric is made from Cofrex/Pufy permanent - wicking yarn which allows it absorb moistu r e fro m th e skin, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable. I t also has anti-UV pro p erties, is anti-bacterial and contains e asy- care properties, a ll features that make this style easy t o la under and comf o rtable to wear.” Soft pleati n g While the fabr ic itse lf is appealing to customers, Laura reports that the soft pl e ating around the ne c kline and keyhole button fastening at the b ack neck is “the main attraction”, and is complemented by a number of subtle fe minine details such as slightly gathered sleeve s, pear lised b uttons a n d keyhole openings. The new blouse is curre n tly availa bl e in black , light blue and white as these are the shades th a t th e He nb u ry team feel are needed for the corporate industry. Laura a dds : “We a r e constantly monitoring current trends and market deman d to a sse ss i f any oth e r colours are desirable and hope to potentially ex p an d t he c o lour ran g e in the future.” The initial response to the new bl ou s e has be e n very positive, she reports. “We have had gre a t fe edback from all o ur distributors and from our brand representative, G rac e, who is out on the road showcasing our products, meeting our customers . This giv e s us invaluable knowledge on how our pr o du cts are p erformi n g in the marketplace.” Laura says this style fits i nt o a wide r a nge of e nvironments, such as officewear, hospitality, fro n t of house, retail an d personal use, with the wide sizing range (XS– 4 XL ) addin g to its appeal. It’s also ideal for decoration, she notes. “As t his is a fab r ic we ha v e been working with for a number of years we know t hat it will d ecorate w ell for both printing and embroidery.
