PF DTG PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 68 images SEPTEMBER 2021 MHM Direct GB: Brother GTX Pro Bulk Print-on-demand has never been busier and the Brother GTX Pro series has seen a lot of action over the past year, particularly with the addition of the GTX Pro Bulk, says UK distributor MHM Direct GB. “With its bulk ink supply, white ink circulation and agitation, its rapid print speed and low print costs, it’s no wonder more and more are being installed across the UK.” The GTX Pro Bulk includes Brother’s Innobella inks, which are both Oeko- Tex and Global Organic Textile Standard-approved, and are designed to print on cotton, as well as polyester and direct-to-fabric transfers. “With a long list of time-saving features and its great print quality,” adds MHM, “there’s no stopping the GTX Pro Bulk’s versatility in a print shop.” Roland DG: Texart XT-640S-DTG Printer The Texart XT-640S-DTG multi- station direct-to-garment printer enables users to print durable, full-colour designs using CMYK and high density white ink directly onto a wide range of cotton, cotton-rich and white polyester textile for fashion and home décor applications, says Roland DG. “To combat the increasing demand for a higher standard of eco-friendly products, the primers and inks for the XT-640S- DTG are Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex-certified – this certification is only awarded after a series of rigorous tests to check whether each ingredient in the chemical product meets strict conditions.” The XT-640S-DTG features a sliding baseplate and jig design, which is designed to allow different sizes of garments to be combined for maximum versatility – the machine enables the printing of up to 12 garments at one time. “When printing CMYK, the XT- 640S-DTG can rapidly accelerate production, manufacturing up to 450 garments per hour using a 200 x 260mm jig in production mode or 225 garments per hour in quality mode,” adds Roland. The XT-640S-DTG can also be combined with Ergosoft Roland DG Edition 3 RIP software, which is included with the printer to “unlock time and money-saving functions like background colour removal for ink reduction”.
