We have our own in-house design team and our own production facility. We offer uniquely designed apparel, gear, gifts, and a large range of other products as part of our offering, which is targeted towards those from the following sectors: the military, the first responders, and those who support people who serve. We are the largest veteran-owned apparel brand in Europe and we are currently expanding our reach into other areas, including North America and Asia. What’s your most recent DTG printer? The latest DTG machine that we purchased was a Brother GTX. This was purchased within the last year to further expand our productive capacity in line with increased demand. We purchased the printer from MHM Direct GB, who provided an excellent installation service, as well as fantastic technical assistance. What other machines, if any, did you look at before purchasing this one? None. The Brother GTX is a printer that we know well and we were confident that it would seamlessly fit into our production model. What are its main advantages? For us, the main advantages of the Brother GTX are pace, quality, and reliability. The machine prints fast without compromising quality. The machine is also extremely user-friendly and reliable. Is there anything you’d like to see in an upgrade or don’t like about it? Overall, the machine is brilliant and Brother routinely bring out firmware and driver updates for the GTX to keep it running at its best. They are also excellent at keeping clients up to date with best practice regarding the machine’s maintenance structure. They listen carefully to feedback from clients and work really hard at implementing improvements to the machine based on that feedback. What’s it like to use? It’s a wonderful printer to use. The menu on the printer is easy to navigate, it is easy to update the printer’s firmware and driver software, while the machine is easy to configure up to a computer which displays the graphics that you are printing. We’ve found that the best way to get the most out of it is to stay on top of daily maintenance tasks. What type of work is it used for? We are a print-to-order business, so the run size depends on the number of orders placed that day. We have a rolling production system, so orders are processed throughout the day and shipped often the day it has been ordered. Our range of products includes T-shirts, hoodies and sweat tops, which we DTG . We have over 500 designs on our website, with a wide variety of print positions and styles from black ink only to full colour. What would be your advice to others thinking of buying a DTG printer? Assess what your requirements are and find a machine that matches them best. www.forcewear.co.uk Roger Kentish of Force Wear says the Brother GTX is “a wonderful printer to use”
