This decision was reached mutually and with good feeling on both sides, according to the companies. Adelco will continue to be involved with Kornit on other international projects. “Adelco would like to thank all its [Kornit] customers who have been truly inspirational, and have made its journey both successful and enjoyable. Adelco hopes to continue supporting them for many years to come with other new and exciting products,” commented the company. Adelco has also announced that it has taken on the UK distributorship for the OvalJet printer – a high production direct-to-garment machine that prints 180-220 pieces per hour with “considerable print cost savings”, according to the company. (See page 48 for further details of the OvalJet printer from Adelco.) imagesmag.uk/adelco-kornit New auto from M&R promises ‘super-fast’ printing M&R Printing Equipment launched the Cobra in July, a new automatic screen printing press that promises production speeds of up to 960 garments an hour, along with a newly designed, flat indexing system for “super-fast printing” and “extremely quiet operation”. “The new spider arm design features pneumatic-locking, Quick-Flip front frame holders, allowing for rapid screen loading and unloading, tool- free pallet locks for quick pallet changes, and is Tri-Loc and Tri-Sync compatible, reducing set-up time and maximising run times and productivity,” commented the manufacturer. The HMI (human-machine interface) on the Cobra also features a new Heads Idle Mode and an updated Revolver Print Program, while its Maintenance Minder System alerts operators when scheduled maintenance is due. The Cobra also integrates with additional M&R press equipment, such as flashes and select models of the DS-4000. The Cobra is available in two models: the Cobra 1618 and the Cobra 2020, both of which are available in 10-station/eight-colour, 12-station/10- colour and 14-station/12-colour configurations. From January 2021, all UK companies importing or exporting goods will have to complete customs declarations. Eligible organisations can apply to HMRC for funding for recruitment, employee training and IT to reimburse the number of costs associated with increasing their capacity and enhancing their ability to complete customs declarations. Open for registration now, the scheme closes for applications on 30 June 2021, or earlier if funding is fully allocated.
