Target Transfers also offers 26 new Foil colours, and has ensured that its 2021/22 heat transfer vinyl range is “easier to weed and quicker to fuse”. Marathon Threads: Digital Printable Films Marathon Threads has introduced new digital printable films for heat transfer vinyl printing, which it says are ready for immediate application and require no drying time. This includes Digital One, a 160-micron film on a non- adhesive paper carrier, that’s ideal for large logos and numbers, explains the company. “As the film is thicker, the transfers can also be lifted from the paper carrier by hand and placed onto the garment without the need for application tape.” For special effect printing, its new Digital Glitter Silver printable film aims to “transform any full-colour design to glitter sparkle without losing colour definition, all on a glitter silver background”. Alternatively, its Digital Silver Gloss printable film is designed to look like a colour design on a standard film when removed from your printer, adds Marathon. “However, once the film is put under a heat press and applied, the whole design turns metallic.” Marathon Threads says its new digital printable films are ready for immediate application Cad-Cut HTV can be applied to a variety of fabrics, including polycotton blends, polyester and nylon Digital Tuftrans don’t require cutting or weeding ETC Supplies’ range of garment printing vinyl and flex are available per metre Jester Prints: Digital Tuftrans Digital Tuftrans are the latest addition to its range of heat-applied textile transfers offering fine, multi-colour detail, says Jester Prints. “Produced in a four-colour process, anything that can be made on a print-and-cut machine can be made as a digital tuftran, but without the cutting, weeding and application tape — just take them straight from the packet and apply to the garment. “Therefore much finer lines and text can be used, without the need for the background shapes that take ages to achieve and spoil the look of print-and-cut-type transfers. “Small quantities can also be made at economical prices, making the smaller jobs more possible and profitable to do.” Both Digital and Spot Colour Tuftrans are available from the company, including ‘Leavers’ transfers for schools and colleges.
