Each issue, one reader tells us why they rate a particular product Siân Roberts, managing director of UK Printwear in Rutland, says her favourite garment to decorate is the Creator Iconic Unisex T-Shirt (STTU755) from Stanley/Stella. “Its organic ringspun cotton fabric gives a great finish to all decorating methods, including direct-to-garment print, vinyl transfer and embroidery. “It has a huge colour range, and the vast majority come in at least six sizes, with some even being available in 10 sizes.” The STTU755 comes with an unbranded size label, and is also both Vegan-approved and certified by the FairWear Foundation. Make sure your customers are aware of the ethical properties and versatility of the Creator tee, adds Siân, as it’s a real selling point. “There’s so few limitations with decoration, and considering the price, they would be mad not to go for it!” imagesmag.uk/oct21-readers-choice www.ukprintwear.co.uk READERS’ CHOICE Kornit sets targets for sustainable fashion Kornit Digital has committed to saving 4.3 trillion litres of water and cutting 17.2 billion kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions in a report on its impact on people and the environment. The digital textile production technology company has also pledged to reduce overproduction in the fashion industry by 1.1 billion items by 2026. The commitments are included in its 2020 Impact and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, affirming its determination to achieve specific ESG goals. Ronen Samuel, Kornit Digital’s chief executive officer, said: “Our vision is to boldly transform the world of fashion and textiles for a better, more sustainable planet. This report serves as our roadmap to achieving this vision.” “The fashion industry is unfortunately responsible for severe ecological damage, producing nearly 20% of global wastewater each year and over- producing an average of 30% as an integral part of its ‘normal’ course of doing business. “We are laser-focused on changing that trajectory. Sustainability is top of mind at Kornit, in our spirit and in practice, every single day.” The full report is available at imagesmag.uk/Kornit20-Impact-Report . imagesmag.uk/kornit-esg The Creator tee is a great option for DTG, vinyl transfer and embroidery, says Siân Kornit Digital plans to make fashion more sustainable Coloreel finds partner for sustainable embroidery Instant thread-colouring pioneer Coloreel has formed a partnership with D-house, a specialist in clothing technology, to help customers on creative and sustainable embroidery projects.
