Kornit, which supplies digital printing systems for garment decoration, said it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tesoma, which is based in Lichtenau in Germany, for an undisclosed sum. It is expected to be completed on or before 1 April 2022, after the “satisfactory completion of business transition and integration plans”. Founded in 1993, Tesoma appealed to Kornit because “it is globally recognised for the high-quality engineering and performance of its cutting-edge textile curing solutions”. Distributed in the UK by MHM Direct GB, its products include Drylight textile dryers that are used in garment printing. Kornit Digital’s CEO, Ronen Samuel, said: “We’ve been working with Tesoma’s phenomenal engineering team on revolutionary product innovations and unique integration concepts, and I am very excited with our immediate and longer-term roadmap plans.” imagesmag.uk/kornit-tesoma Tesoma, which manufactures the Drylight gas conveyor dryer, is being acquired by Kornit 1992-2022 I love receiving my copy of Images . The new site, at workwear.border- embroideries.co.uk and beuniforms. co.uk , is badged BE Uniforms and gives customers the ability to add logos and build a basket including embroidery and print and pay online, in contrast to the traditional method of an email that is then followed by a quote. Another big feature of the new site is to allow customers to log into the trade portal and place orders for their specific items and their own price. Border Embroideries, based in Greenlaw in the Borders, was founded in 1989. imagesmag.uk/beuniforms-web Garment decorator gains organic textile standard European garment decorator Lynka has achieved organic textile certification as part of its drive to be sustainable across the entire business. The company sought the Global Organic Textile Standard (Gots), awarded by auditing body Control Union, because customers were increasingly looking for fully organic decorated apparel. Based in southern Poland, Lynka has been using Gots-certified garments for over 10 years, but wanted to achieve the certification across its own printing and embroidery services. Founder and CEO John Lynch said: “Customers simply want to know that the whole supply chain – from seed to shelf-product – is sustainability viable. Gots is one of the strictest textile certifications on the planet and their ‘green T-shirt logo’ is the quality seal.” He added that it built on the Gots certification achieved by Lynka’s suppliers such as Mantis World, Neutral and Stanley/Stella. “It’s been a logical move for us to join this sustainable chain to show that Lynka is an equal partner and follows the rules of the certification.” imagesmag.uk/lynka-gots Lynka’s Gots-certified print studio in Poland
