Under the new reforms, companies that have signed up to the PPC will be required to pay 95% of invoices from small businesses (those with less than 50 employees) within 30 days, effective from 1 July 2021; the target for larger businesses will remain 95% of invoices within 60 days – the current time outlined in the Code. According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), around 50,000 businesses close every year due to late payments. “A late payment crisis was massively stifling the UK economy before Covid-19 hit, and the pandemic has deepened it,” Mike Cherry, national chairman of the FSB, commented. “Ending our pernicious poor payment culture for good over the coming months will be fundamental to turning our hopes of economic recovery into reality.” imagesmag.uk/PPC-reforms Personalise UK Personalise UK in Essex has created a selection of embroidered workwear for new small business NR Drainage. imagesmag.uk/Personalise-UK Stay in the picture with our Instagram feed and stories: @imagesmaguk Tie & Scarf Company offers an Eco Tie made from 100% recycled polyester New PPC reforms state that from July, companies will have to pay 95% of invoices from small businesses within 30 days The first few months of the year are always fairly grey, which is why this extremely bright top created by WearYourLogo for The Brighton Handyman, a local tradesman, particularly stood out. The company, which also offers embroidery, opted for vinyl print as it was a small order of fewer than 10 items. “We find on smaller orders, using the vinyl print system is the best solution for flexibility,” explains Julian Hendy, director of WearYourLogo in Lancing, West Sussex. The team used a Roland cutter from Xpres, along with white and fluorescent green Superflex Evolution, also from Xpres. The vinyls were applied to the Uneek Premium T-Shirt (UC302) and the Varsity Hoodie (JH003) from Just Hoods by AWDis. “The customer absolutely loved the finished garments and has just ordered a few more,” Julian adds. www.wearyourlogo.co.uk DECORATED PRODUCT OF THE MONTH Fluorescent green Superflex Evolution from Xpres was used to ‘brighton’ up these garments for The Brighton Handyman
