A key feature of the Max technology is XDi, which delivers 3D printing capabilities for new, high-density graphic decoration that can simulate embroidery, vinyl and heat transfer in a single, waste-free digital process, promised Kornit. “The new XDi, which is based on Kornit’s patents, allows fulfillers and brands to expand their offerings to include new-to-market, innovative decorations without the inefficiencies and cost of operating analogue technologies.” The Kornit Atlas Max will be available from June, with an upgrade to the Kornit Atlas systems available during the first quarter of 2022 and further announcements concerning the Kornit Presto systems expected; however, an upgrade for the Kornit Avalanche systems will not be available, the company reports. “We plan to roll out the Max technology to additional lucrative market segments, such as team sports, athleisure, diverse categories of fashion and home décor applications,” explained Omer Kulka, CMO of Kornit Digital. In addition, Kornit has launched its ActiveLoad Automation technology, a new robotic system designed to “significantly ease the burden of manual and labour-intensive media- handling in the textile decoration industry — this increases total output per shift, while ensuring minimal downtime and exceptional reliability”. Kornit says the new patent-pending ActiveLoad Automation technology ensures continuous production and consistency, while decreasing human error and fatigue, regardless of employee experience and training, for ultimate results and best operational efficiency. “Kornit’s Max technology defines the future of on-demand, sustainable textile production, and the future is here now. Max offers a rare sustainable symbiosis: more creativity, less waste,” added Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital. imagesmag.uk/Kornit-Atlas-Max The Kornit Atlas Max’s XDi technology can simulate embroidery, vinyl and heat transfer decoration Alexandra, which is now a Tier One PPE supplier to the NHS in England and Wales, has recruited a dedicated team to expand its current personal protective equipment (PPE) portfolio. The team is led by PPE sales manager Diane Buckley , who previously worked for the Bristol-based workwear company for 15 years before moving to a major PPE supplier. Diane’s team will include PPE account executives Sandie Morris and Eve Jenkins , who have both recently joined Alexandra, as well as a new internal account executive. Their new roles will involve visiting potential and existing clients to understand and identify their PPE needs, so a tailored offering can then be produced for each customer. Diane is also running training sessions to teach staff at Alexandra’s contact centre about different PPE and help increase their understanding of aspects like certification, job role and comfort to better advise customers. imagesmag.uk/Alexandra-PPE- team CHANGING FACES Alexandra is expanding its current personal protective equipment department
