This follows the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) appeal on behalf of policyholders, meaning many thousands of small companies will now receive payments from business interruption insurance policies for coronavirus- related losses. During the coronavirus lockdown in spring 2020, many insurers refused to pay small businesses making claims through business interruption insurance policies for the loss of earnings due to closure, arguing that only specialist insurance policies could cover such unprecedented circumstances. The FCA said that the ruling may affect 370,000 small businesses, which were identified as holding 700 types of policies issued by 60 insurers. imagesmag.uk/Covid-business- insurance-payouts Check out our daily industry updates on Twitter @imagesmaguk New 60°C wash status on selected Result garments Result Clothing has announced that a selection of its garments can now be washed at 60°C. The Apex Pocket Polo Shirt, Junior Microfleece Jacket and Women’s Printable Softshell are among the garments that have been tested and passed for suitability in a 60°C wash. The company’s in-house tests monitored the garments for possible delamination, distortion, shrinkage and colour run when washed at 60°C, which it says is “the ideal wash temperature for killing bacteria”. “Whilst current stock of these styles may still have 40°C wash label instructions, on-going production wash labels have been updated to show their new 60°C wash status,” added Result. imagesmag.uk/Result-60-degrees The Women’s Printable Softshell from Result is now suitable for a 60°C wash
