It is here that Si Atkin relocated his print business, Carry on Screening, from London at the start of this year, attracted to its creative atmosphere and its values, which match his own. Among the studios built of repurposed timber and sculptures made from stuff that other people have thrown away, Si is demonstrating what can be achieved through manual printing with water- based inks in a sustainable and ethical way. “Like a lot of people, Covid gave Walking the walk Mark Ludmon visits Si Atkin at his sustainable and ethically driven print shop, Carry on Screening, where he practises an alternative approach to screen printing, business and life us time to pause for thought,” he says. “You look at your approach to things.
