Each issue, one reader tells us why they rate a particular product Debbie Asman, proprietor of Little Hedgehog Embroidery in Dorset, says her favourite garments to embroider are the Short Pyjama Set in a Bag (TC52) from Towel City. “I can vouch for how lovely these pyjama sets are, as I have a few pairs myself,” explained Debbie. “I find them super soft, cool to wear and very comfy — I’ve also had amazing feedback from everyone that has either ordered for themselves, or been given them as a gift.” Available in sizes XS-XL, the TC52 is offered as either a white top with heather grey shorts or as a white top with pink striped shorts. In addition, both styles come with a drawstring bag, which matches the shorts and is great for keeping the set together, comments Debbie. “I embroider the vest top with the logo or design that my customer has asked for, with their name or a design on the shorts, as well as adding a personal touch to the bag.” Debbie’s top tip for embroidering the TC52 is to use Madeira’s Comfort Wear to the back of the garments. “It’s an iron-on, protective backing, which is used by many high street stores so that the embroidery is not itchy to the skin,” she explains. imagesmag.uk/dec21-readers-choice www.littlehedgehogembroidery.com READERS’ CHOICE The TC52 pyjama set is super soft, cool to wear and very comfy, says Debbie Guthries wins workwear contract worth over £1m Guthries, the West Lothian-based distributor of workwear and education garments, has won a contract worth more than £1 million. He said that next year’s planned annual increase in business rates would not go ahead in England, which is expected to be matched by governments in other parts of the UK. He also announced that, from 2023, businesses would be able to make improvements to their properties without having to pay extra rates for 12 months. He promised reforms of the business rates system, making it “fairer and timelier with more frequent revaluations every three years”, starting in 2023. The reforms also include a new relief for companies that invest in green technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels. In another boost for UK businesses, the chancellor announced that a scheduled increase in fuel duty would be cancelled. He also confirmed that the national living wage would increase from £8.91 to £9.50 per hour from April 2022.
