This month we have Harley- Beau from BlackDog Ink in Port Macquarie, Australia Full name: Harley-Beau Breed: Kelpie X Age: He’ll be 5 next February. Time at company: Harley first joined BlackDog Ink at eight weeks old, commencing his role as executive foot warmer, puddle maker and professional shadow. Job title: Concierge and chief quality control officer. Job description: A true Australian working dog, Harley sees the kids off before heading into the office. Greeting clients and overseeing deliveries keeps him fairly busy, but having a quick sniff of the outgoing boxes and ensuring everything is to his ‘pawfect’ standards is his priority. Special skills: Predicting exactly where you need to stand at the press and getting comfortable just as you need to move into that spot! Harley also holds the record for storing the most toys in his mouth at one time (four tennis balls and a squashed footy). Other skills include hiding in empty boxes, falling asleep and snoring loudly. Favourite colour: Pantone #389C, representing Harley’s favourite toy…the tennis ball. The upgraded website is easily navigable, offering the latest industry- related content to enable all visitors to quickly and easily access up-to-date news and trends relevant to both the UK and global personal protective equipment market. imagesmag.uk/PCIAW-website Schoolwear Association responds to MP’s call to help tailor school uniform for Portsmouth boy A group of Schoolwear Association (SA) members came to a family’s aid by tailoring a school uniform specific to their child’s special needs after responding to a request from their local member of parliament. Penny Mordaunt, Conservative MP for Portsmouth North, put a call out on Twitter in search of anyone in the area who could donate some time and skills to help tailor a school uniform for the child. In response to the tweet, members of the SA from across the industry provided uniform items suited to the child’s needs: suppliers Stevensons tailored a blazer for the required fit and replaced shirt buttons with Velcro fastenings, while William Turner converted the school tie to fasten with Velcro aids, and David Luke created bespoke trousers at its factory in South Africa. The boy’s mother, who wanted to remain anonymous, commented: “I can’t begin to say how much I appreciate all the help of these businesses who have made his life so much easier.
