ColorGate: Productionserver 20 ColorGate has launched three new solutions and services: Productionserver 20, Custom Create and Professional Color Management Services. Productionserver 20 is a RIP and colour management solution available in an industrial version for décor and textile printing, as well as a commercial version for large-format printing. It has been updated to Adobe’s PDF Print Engine 5, supports spectral spot colour definitions and is compatible with PantoneLive. It features improved spot colour support for Pantone and Freie Farbe spot colour libraries, and now includes additional settings for the Ink Saver feature to allow for even greater ink savings. The industrial version has a white underbase creation for textile printing on dark substrates and Colour Correction Loop Module, as well as a new Retouch Module for last-minute colour corrections before going to print while staying consistent with a colour- managed workflow. The company’s Proofgate and Filmgate products have also been upgraded to version 20, and all ColorGate users with an active Value Pack will receive the new version free of charge. ColorGate Custom Create is a new end-to-end workflow solution that connects print buyers, print service providers and brand owners. It features product creators with advanced customisation features and 3D product previews, as well as a pricing engine. ColorGate’s Professional Colour Management Services enables users of any printing and colour management technology to pick a standardised service from a menu. Bundles are also available for designers, soft proofing and production proofing, and there is a colour management bundle for professional print.
