Originally scheduled to take place at the NEC Birmingham from 27 to 29 September, the events have been moved to September 28 to 30 2021 at the same venue. The organisers at Link Exhibitions UK have reached an agreement with many of the companies that were due to attend in 2020 to exhibit next year. Event director Chris Davies said that every effort had been made to go ahead this September, but it had become clear in recent weeks that restrictions caused by Covid-19 meant that running the show would not be possible. “Before anything else, the health and safety of our exhibitors and guests is our number one concern, and while it was a difficult decision, we believe this is the right course of action,” he said. imagesmag.uk/print-show- postponed TheMagicTouch brings live demos and technical support online via Zoom TheMagicTouch (TMT) has introduced a new online service offering live demonstrations and technical support to help printers learn about products and techniques. After experimenting with options including Skype and FaceTime, the company chose to use the Zoom video platform as so many people have become familiar with it during lockdown, although other platforms such as Microsoft Teams are available. The new service was being planned before the pandemic hit, but has been launched earlier while many businesses continue to practise social distancing. TMT has also completed a refurbishment of its showrooms in Dunstable in Bedfordshire. In the first two weeks of July, it ran more than 25 product demos online, focusing on white-toner printer technology, and hosted 10 technical support sessions including software tips, RIP tutorials and face mask decoration. Future plans include online seminars. imagesmag.uk/TMTZoom Jim Nicol demonstrates TMT’s products from the refurbished showroom in Dunstable Fespa reschedules 2020 exhibition Fespa has cancelled its Global Print Expo due to take place in Madrid in October because of Covid-19 and is looking to hold it in Amsterdam next year instead. The event will be held at the RAI Exhibition Centre from 9-12 March 2021, and will be co- located with European Sign Expo and Sportswear Pro. This means that the Fespa Global Print Expo due to be held in Munich in May has been moved to 2022. imagesmag.uk/fespa- cancels-2020 Print & Stitch 2020 roadshows cancelled The organisers of the Print & Stitch roadshows have announced that the 2020 shows will no longer be going ahead, due to the coronavirus pandemic. “This has not been an easy decision to make, but the safety of our staff, exhibitors and visitors has always been at the forefront of our decisions throughout the pandemic, and will continue to remain our top priority. With there being little information yet about when larger events can safely take place again, and most of the nation recovering from the impact of the coronavirus for the foreseeable future, we believe the best and safest option is to resume our shows in 2021.” Updates on the 2021 show dates and locations will be announced online in due course. imagesmag.uk/PrintStitch2020 The Fespa Global Print Expo will be held in Amsterdam next year
