YES: DTG Q Hybrid Series The DTG Q Hybrid Series printers are designed for both direct-to-garment and direct-to-film printing for heat transfer applications, explains YES. From a single printing platform, this new series expands the range of products you can decorate using both direct and indirect methods of garment decoration, the supplier adds. “Designed for low-cost, high-volume production, the DTG Q series uses a staggered array of print heads, running at highspeed through a single, one-pass colour and white ink printing method. “The DTG Q Series will transform your garment print studio into a competitive apparel production house, completely changing the way you focus your print offer.” TheMagicTouch: DTFMagic Mutoh/ STS VJ-628D DTF Printer The new DTFMagic Mutoh/STS VJ628D direct-to-film printer can produce up to 200 transfers per day, reports TheMagicTouch (TMT). The compact VJ628D desktop printer is 63cm wide and prints directly to coated PET film. “The printed image can then have a powder adhesive applied manually and cured at up to 95°C for a minute, using the unique desktop curing oven,” adds the company. “Its pre-production ‘cost per transfer’ feature is also very useful as the operator is able to price each transfer to an exact cost. “DTF transfers work equally well on any colour textiles and allow users to choose between a matt or gloss finish, whilst requiring no pretreatment, no cutting or weeding, and creating crisp, defined edges and images.” The VJ-628D comes with STS DTF inks, which are both Eco Passport and Oeko-Tex-certified. This includes C, M, Y, K, LC and LM inks together with two white, which are “supplied in degassed bulk bags, so that no ink contamination is possible”. It also includes DTFMagic RIP software featuring CadLink Digital Factory.
