Made from 100% sustainable materials and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, the new Organic Cotton range includes the Organic Cotton Tee (VAN111), the Organic Hoodie (VAN202) and the Organic Sweatshirt (VAN203). “Vanilla’s Organic Cotton range boasts 100% sustainable cotton, rather than a blend — this ensures an exceptional surface for both direct-to-garment and screen print decoration,” explained the brand. The Organic Cotton Tee has a crew neck, self-fabric back neck and shoulder tape for comfort, while the Organic Sweatshirt and Organic Hoodie both feature full- needle, double-layered cuffs and welt for shape recovery, as well as twin-needle stitched seams for durability and a tear-away label for easy rebranding. Also available and made from 100% organic cotton are the Kids Organic Cotton Tee (VAN411) and Kids Organic Hoodie (VAN402). imagesmag.uk/Vanilla- Organic-Cotton ECO INDUSTRY NEWS Rowlinson Knitwear certified CarbonNeutral Rowlinson Knitwear has achieved a CarbonNeutral certification, awarded by The CarbonNeutral Protocol, a global framework for carbon neutrality. The company’s certification as a CarbonNeutral company will extend to all of its emissions from port of origin to delivery to customers’ premises. The schoolwear manufacturer has also received its Planet Mark certification for the third consecutive year — this confirms that, for the year ending November 2020, Rowlinson reduced its overall carbon emissions by 41.1%, with a 42.9% carbon reduction per employee, since the previous year. “We’re committed to reducing our carbon emissions, so that we help to halt the climate emergency,” commented Donald Moore, chair of Rowlinson Knitwear. “Despite the pandemic creating a temporary reduction in carbon impact globally, we can’t rest on our laurels. Our new photovoltaic system will generate twice the power we need, with the excess going back into the grid, which is the right choice to show we care for people and the planet.” imagesmag.uk/Rowlinson-CarbonNeutral Veloce Racing chooses Regatta’s Honestly Made range Regatta Professional will supply technical outerwear, tops, bottoms and accessories to team members competing in Extreme E, the all-electric SUV motor racing championship that visits some of the harshest and most inhospitable environments on the planet, from Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest to the ‘end of the world’ in Patagonia.
