PF DIGITAL PRINTING www.images-magazine.com 102 images APRIL 2019 Epson: Epson SureColor SC-F Dye Sublimation Series Epson says its dye sublimation printers are ideal for polyester- based fabrics which today can emulate silk and velvet and even windproof, ripstop fabric. “This technology produces vibrant high quality results whether the product is for hardwearing environments (workwear, swimwear or sportswear) or high fashion,“ adds the company. “Epson SureColor SC-F printers featured strongly in the work of students from Central St Martins and the University of Westminster at London Fashion Week.“ The Epson SureColor SC-F series of printers includes two 64“ models, the high end SC-F9300 and the medium-to-high volume model SC-F7200. The smaller 44“ SC- F6200 is ideal for low and medium run production. Each of these models features PrecisionCore technology and TFP heads and run with UltraChrome DS inks to give “vibrant results“. The company adds: “Epson is unusual in supplying hardware, software, print head, ink and sublimation paper, which means all production components work well together and Epson can provide competitive running costs.“ Completing the company’s textiles portfolio is its direct-to-garment printer, the Epson SC-F2100, which prints onto a wide range of cotton and cotton-blend products. “The latest Garment Creator software makes creating, modifying and applying designs really easy,“ says Epson. Multiple images can be uploaded and predefined settings applied to give the desired output. Text can be added locally with a choice of font, colour, size, position and angle adjustments. www.epson.eu The high-end Epson SureColor SC-F9300 dye sublimation printer The Mimaki TX300P-1800 direct-to-textile printer has been “extremely successful“ for I-Sub, reports the company, as it has “opened up many new possibilities for new and existing customers“. This printer can be installed with many different ink technologies, including pigment, disperse, sublimation, reactive and acid dye, which allows printers to digitally decorate a wide variety of fabrics whether they are natural or synthetic. There is also an option to install two types of ink on one machine. It promises production speeds of up to 66m2/hr and uses Mimaki‘s advanced textile feeding system I-Sub: Mimaki TX300P-1800 Direct-To-Textile Printer The Mimaki TX300P-1800 is available from I-Sub along with the latest Mimaki MAPS advanced pass system for “optimum fabric tension and print quality“. It uses the Mimaki MBIS3 bulk ink system and large volume ink packs for economical and efficient operation. The TX300P-1800 also includes the Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) for “reliable continuous print operation“ and offers a high head gap for thick and woven textiles. www.i-sub.co.uk
